My name is Kenny Capesius and I grew up on a family farm about five miles north of La Motte, a small town in eastern Iowa. I attended Cornell College in the slightly larger town of Mount Vernon, Iowa. There, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and was made a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I took what could be described as more than my fair share of political and legal classes, including three Constitutional Law classes taught by my advisor, Dr. Craig Allin. Later, under Dr. Allin’s guidance, I would write my honors thesis on a then-pending Supreme Court case. Currently, I am living in Washington, D.C. while working as a paralegal at Simmer Law Group.
